Millwall Football Club was delighted to confirm the deadline day signing of Callum Styles on a season-long loan from Barnsley.

The 22-year-old midfielder became Gary Rowett's eighth signing of the summer transfer window.

Styles made his debut for Bury at the age of 16 and went on to make just under 50 appearances for the Gigg Lane outfit. He then departed for Barnsley in August 2018 and has gone from strength to strength at Oakwell, playing his part in a Tykes side which won promotion from Sky Bet League One and then consolidated themselves in The Championship the following season.

Styles then made 50 appearances - scoring five times - in all competitions as the Yorkshiremen made the Championship Play-Offs, losing out to Swansea City in the Semi-Finals, and went on to gain international caps for Hungary after finding out that he was eligible to play through family ties. He was prominent in the team which completed a Nations League double over England in June 2022; 1-0 in Budapest and 4-0 in Wolverhampton.

The Hungarian won the Man of the Match award on his debut for The Lions, in a 2-0 victory over Cardiff City on Saturday 3rd September 2022.
